Athens Pastries opened its first location in 1978 on the Danforth, in what is now the heart of Toronto’s Greektown.
Our dream was to introduce Toronto to what is the cornerstone of authentic Greek “Street Food”, that is, the delicious and healthy spanakopita (spinach pie), tiropita (cheese pie) and other pastries made with light and flaky phyllo dough as well as the always addictive loukoumathes (honey balls), using original recipes passed down through generations in Northern Greece. We take great pride in continuing to make all our products from scratch, using fresh and simple ingredients that are sourced locally whenever possible.
Today you can still visit us on the Danforth and order the same delicious phyllo pastries and savoury pies that were on our menu when we first opened our doors. As we open additional locations to better serve you, we are dedicated to providing you with an authentic Greek experience on every visit!
